Product range / Cold chain indicators

Cold chain indicators

Labels and indicators that permanently show whether a shipment has become too warm or too cold. No batteries or readers are needed — simply check the indicator window on receipt.

Practical applications

Temperature monitoring in transport and the cold chain

Temperature indicators for chilled shipments help you assess deliveries of medicines, samples and food quickly. They show exposure to excessive heat, cold or freezing without downloading logger data or using a dedicated reader.

Pharmaceuticals and laboratories

Vaccines, medicines, biological materials, samples and clinical trial shipments.

Food and flowers

Meat, fish, dairy products, chocolate and temperature-sensitive products.

Cold chain logistics

Monitoring last-mile deliveries, insulated packaging and air freight.

Temperature monitoring for a pharmaceutical shipment in the cold chain
Example application — the choice of solution depends on the product, threshold and process conditions.

Full product range details

Temperature Indicators for Chilled Shipments | LC KOLOR

Cold chain monitoring lets you quickly check whether medicines, vaccines, biological samples or food have been exposed to temperatures outside the specified range. A single-use indicator placed inside the packaging gives the recipient a clear result without opening software or using a specialist reader.

A break in the vaccine cold chain (+2…+8 °C) may reduce the vaccine's effectiveness, and the facility must demonstrate that it was stored correctly. An indicator inside the packaging confirms transport conditions, while a temperature logger in the refrigerator documents on-site storage.

WarmMark records excursions above the temperature threshold together with exposure time, while ColdMark, ColdSNAP and FreezeSafe indicate excessive cold or freezing. ColdChain Complete monitors both upper and lower limits, while QR variants make it easier to record checks using a smartphone.

WarmMark — Time-temperature indicator for chilled shipments

WarmMark

Time-temperature indicator for chilled shipments

How it works

A single-use label that turns red when the selected temperature threshold is exceeded, then shows how long the excursion lasts. Three windows indicate Brief, Moderate and Prolonged heat exposure, helping you determine whether the product is still safe. Activate it by pulling out the tab. The WarmMark range replaces the discontinued Chillchecker indicators — unlike those indicators, it shows not only that the temperature threshold was exceeded, but also for how long.

Application and use

When both a temperature excursion and the duration of heat exposure matter. Activate the indicator according to the instructions for the selected variant and place it next to the monitored product or on its packaging. Select the threshold and monitoring duration before dispatch.

  • Thresholds from −18 °C to +37 °C (including −18, 0, 5, 8, 10, 20, 25, 26, 30, 37 °C)
  • Three time windows: e.g. at 20 °C — 2 h, 12 h and 48 h
  • Single-window versions: 8 °C/8 h, 8 °C/12 h, 25 °C/8 h, 26 °C/48 h
